On Friday, 30 August, our excited Grade 1 learners set off for a fun-filled and educational adventure at Wag-’n-Bietjie Educamp. The outing was designed to give our young learners hands-on experiences with farm animals and to help them better understand where food and animal products come from.

From the moment they arrived, the learners were greeted by the friendly farm staff and a variety of animals — including cows, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, and even bunnies!

The day was filled with laughter, curiosity, and excitement as the learners explored the open spaces, asked wonderful questions, and participated in interactive activities. They especially enjoyed the tractor ride around the farm and seeing how the animals are cared for daily.

Teachers were proud to see how respectful, enthusiastic, and eager to learn our Grade 1s were throughout the trip. Experiences like this help bring classroom learning to life and create memories that last a lifetime.

We extend a big thank you to the Wag-’n-Bietjie team for their warmth and hospitality, and to our staff for ensuring the day ran smoothly and safely.

The outing was a wonderful reminder that learning can happen anywhere — especially when it’s this much fun!
